|Searching for family became important to me when I realized my children would have no clue who their ancestors were if someone didn't get it written down. As generations go by we have lost some of the females in our family due to changing their names in marriage. It is important for all of us to keep our generations of the past, of the present and of the future so that all family members know where their families started.|

|C.C.Diamond||ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest|
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one entombed there or no of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

|Kathryn Martin||RE: James M Jones was my uncle|
Thanks very much for doing that. I miss Sally very much. She was just the sweetest woman. She and Jim lived near us in Las Vegas for quite a while, until Uncle Jim's death. Jim was mom's favorite brother, and I know she loved Sally dearly. Mom wanted me to contact her before her death, but I think Sally had already passed on. I hope they are together now and having a great time.
Much love to you and your family!
|Kathryn Martin||James M Jones was my uncle|
My name is Kathryn Martin. I am Helen Sue Jones' daughter. I wondered if you'd like to link Uncle to Jim to his parents. They are Find A Grave Memorial# 59696581 for Grandpa and Find A Grave Memorial# 59696561 for Grandma. It comforts me to connect the family, even if it's just on a website after they've gone.
Thanks very much.
|Dennis Mathias||Anne Rees|
Well, however you spell Reese, Reece, Rees..I am her great-great-grandson. Thanks for everyone for doing such great research and making helpful comments. BTW, Anne's father (Ann?) was William Rees and her mother was Elizabeth _________ something. Anne was born in Bedwelty, Wentllooge, Tredegar, Abergavenny, Wales at 1 PM. That kind of narrows it down, doesn't it?
|Gerry Stanley||RE: Sevy|
No, but I grew up next door to the Hoys, north of Oak Grove. Larry was a good friend and playmate for several years. My dad bought an unfinished house and 10 acres from Harold. The red brick Hoy house is still there and appears to be in fairly good shape.
There is a lady, Ila June Sevy Hoy Case buried in the Oak Grove, MO Cemetery. Her obit says she was born 6/30/1912 in Iowa. Do you know if Ila June is the daughter of Mason & Annie Sevy, buried at Graceland Park Cem., Sioux City, IA? These were the only two Sevy's I could find that were buried in Iowa that might qualify as her parents. Hoping to hear from you, Gerry
|teacherdeb||Joseph S. Haynes|
There is a Joseph S. Haynes in the Bethel Cemetery in Corliss, Fayette, West Virginia with the same DOB and DOD. Might this be the same man? I have been doing research for a friend of mine and I believe that Joseph S. Haynes was killed in an auto accident in Lookout WV but was buried in Fayette WV. What do you think?
