Bio Photo I love to do geneology whether for my own family or friends that I meet. I am so grateful for the internet with all that everyone can find at their fingertips. I am a Smith by birth, and am related to the Harrell's, Blankenships, Ponsarts, and Ansay to just start with.

Jean Ansay
Hello Gloria,

I was wondering if your mom had ever visited the cemetery and if so, if she remembered approximately where Jean and the infant is buried. I am certain he must be buried in section A, (that is where the Ansay Family Headstone I photographed is) which is a very large section and lot of very old stones. I plan on visiting St Joseph's again as there are a few more stones that I need to photograph. Suggestions are always very helpful but if she does doesn't know, that is not a problem at all. I will continue to look for the 2nd headstone anyway. Just takes a little more time.

Christopher Armstrong
Gloria, thanks for the photo and information on Christopher Armstrong! My dad has been searching for a long time for that information. He is son of Stanley who is son of Christopher who was the son of the Christopher Armstrong born 1823. Can you please contact me to discuss where the information came from. Is there any living relatives who ave a family bible. Does anyone know who his father was?
I plan to go to Ireland and want to have as much information as I can before I go. Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you.

RE: Marvin Bell Smith
I'm kin way back in the line. Thos. J. Blankenship's parents and sibs left Russell/Adair co. KY ca 1834. They settled in Hardin Co., TN. Thos and family followed about 10yrs later. Thomas's father was Drury Blankenship, mother Mary Polly Johnson. Drury died about 1836, leaving Mary with a newborn and 5 other kids. Their 3 other sons, Thos., Abel, & Henry were b. 1813, 1816, 1& 1817/18. One of those 5 other kids was my ancestor, Drury Worsham,b. 1825.
Not long after Thomas and Sarah (Burgess)got to Hardin Co, he died 1855. She was left with 5 chidren we know of (1836-1848). She walked back to KY with her children according to a family story which I got from on of her descendents.
I'm in the process of working each line of Drury and Mary Polly's children as far as I can. New information comes on line all the time. It's a job to keep everything current. I will be happy to share with you.
Drury Blankenship/Mary Polly Johnson
Thomas Blankenship/Sarah Burgess
Thomas HardinBlankenship /Caroline Ezekiel
William Calvin Harrell/Sadie Blankenship
Marvin Bell Smith/Bessie Harrell
Is how you get to the common ancestor.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Marvin Bell Smith
Hi. I found Marvin Luther Smith's obit on line. Your name was listed in the children. I'm working on Bessie Harrell's family of Blankenship (her mother). Can you tell me when Marvin Bell Smith died? Where? Where did the half brothers listed come in? Who is there mother? How did Marvin Luther have sons listed with a different surname? I'm happy to share what I have. Thos J. Blankenship f/o Thomas Hardin Blankenship f/o Sadie Blankenship w/o William Calvin Harrell & m/o Bessie H. Harrell.
