Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Patricia Sells Chernoff, and I have been interested in genealogy for as long as I can remember.

I would be happy to assist with any research or cemetery pictures that are within my area.

My family research consists of: Sells, Chernoff, Winningham, Anderson, Williams, Flowers, McInturff, Kyker, Shugars, and the descendants of Chief Nettle Carrier.

I'm an active member of the "Mayflower" chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and love to connect with family members.

Please keep our memorials correct by linking the proper family members. If I can link anyone or transfer a memorial, email me!

Willie Beatrice Cruze Vales
I have been working your request for this person's grave marker. I walked the Garden of the Gospel section and could never find it. This evening, I found memorial #99330401, which I created last October, and I believe it is the person's grave you are requesting. I kept looking for 'Vales'. So, if you concur this is the correct person, please remove your request and consider removing the duplicate memorial.

I want to thank you very much for going out to the Woodlawn Cemetery and taking the photo of the gravesite for me. I had no idea that they did not have headstone markers....I have now spoken to the Director at the cemetery and she looked it up again and confirmed that they are indeed buried in that location, but without headstones. She also told me that it was common at that time not to place markers, as lack of money was sometimes an issue. It is interesting to me, though, that Willie Sallie's other children are buried in the same county, different cemetery, and all have beautiful headstones. I guess this will remain a family mystery!
Thank you again for your efforts on my behalf. I hope you are having a wonderful day!
