 | Arthur Wolfel Hi ~ Just wanted to add some info for Memorial #19353023. Arthur Wolfel was born June 3, 1862 in Platte Co., NE and died June 1, 1933 in Norfolk, VA.
"Arthur Wolfel, age 70, died at the residence, 1809 Lafayette boulevard, last night at 8 o'clock. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary A. Wolfel and a number of nieces and nephews. He was a native of Nebraska and had been a risident of Norfolk for 25 years. He was a member of the Carpenters Union, and was a Spanish-American War Veteran. The body was taken to the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements." Virginian-Pilot, Jun 2, 1933

"Funeral Services for Arthur Wolfel Held Yesterday - Arthur Wolfel - Funeral services for Mr. Wolfel who died Thursday were conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock by the Rev. Geroge T. Terrell, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church. There was a large attendance an many beautiful flowers. The casket was draped with the national colors. A color guard, firing squad, and bugler rendered military honors and Maj. Marshall Tarrall Camp No. 5, Spanish War Veterans Department of Virginia conducted services at the grave. Honorary pall bearers were Spanish War veterans and included George T. Laylor, James E. Hall, Thomas Kelly, Albert Eberly, Thomas Barr, Fred Tyree, Frank Morgan, George Ohttnger, Henry Barr, John T. Campbell, and W. A. Seddinger. Active pall bearers were from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Union No. 331 as follows, W. W. Sykes, T. S. Reaves, E. B. Lindsay, A. L. Buckner, A. J.
