I am not descended from Sarah and William. However, she was a 1st cousin 5X removed from me. Her grandfather was my 5th Gr Grandfather. I have no info on Sarah's children and such. If you can help that would be great. | | | Family Searcher

Hmm, looks like I'm not the only one researching the Scruggs.
Two photos of samplers sewn by Sarah can be seen in a book, "Williamson County: More Than A Good Place To Live", Rick Warwick, 2005.
One of the samplers was sewn to honor her paternal grandfather who was a soldier in the American Rev War.

I was taking photos today and noticed a Kelly- Burke headstone with 10 names on the back. The Timothy Kelly is dated 1873, close to your date. I took a photo of the front and back in case you want to pursue the names.
