|B.J. Nelson||Anna Duree|
I see you requested a photo of Anna Duree's memorial. I have a lot of information on the Durie/Duree line. I would be happy to share. I'm going out of town on Monday and will be gone a few days. I will be back the following Sunday. Anna is my great-great-great-great grandmother.

Royce was my grandmother Margaret Strong Vahl's brother. I'm just now dipping my toe into the waters of genealogy, so I'm finding out how many threads there are to follow in building a family tree!

Oh...... yes yes yes!!! He is on the 1870 US Census with (I'm assuming) his brother O.F. Nelson.......... but they are living with my ancestor, Charles Wright.
I am thinking..... That Charles Wright and these boys might be related.
I also found this reference:
John G. NELSON was a settler who found his way to section 4, and there has a fine home. He came after the Rebellion closed which was in the autumn of 1865.
If you have any information that may link John to Charles..... I would really appreciate it. You can send directly to my email of LSJRJT@YAHOO.COM.
Thank you soooooooooooo much!!!

Hi Ellie!! I have found John G Nelson among your sites...... and am wondering if his wife is Orilla Jensen Nelson. It looks like they are together in the 1880 Census with two children, Orilla's mother and sister.
If you agree, please connect them. Do you know anything about this couple? I believe John G Nelson stayed with my great great grandfather Charles Wright when he first came to this country in 1865.

I saw that you posted a picture of Sarah. Her father (Jackson) is my ggg grandfather. Do you have any information on him, or his son George W. Ewing?

I was a little surprised by the Haley Cemetery. My cousin was hunting mushrooms and he came across it. He was telling me about the "Colored" graves. There were six. We hiked across country to get to it because the drive was washed out.
It was mowed and cared for. Most of the broken stones was placed where they belonged, but was covered by grass.
I believe it was originally a family cemetery. The oldest grave appeared to be marked "Jane" no other name. Marked "Colored Woman" Born Aug 1801 Died Sep 1844. The next oldest was Charles Medlock Haley born in 1844 and died in 1846. There was another Charles Haley who was born Jan 31 1788 and Died in 1862 from being kicked by a mule.
Maybe some day you can stop by the grave and leave a flower and say hello to your family.
The last grave was dated 1940.

Your so very welcome. I was surprised that Marions stone was in such good condition considering its age.

Hi Ms. Duree, I would love to transfer your Gr.Gr. Grandmother to you, if you would like ?? I'm not sure which one she is, (Rebecca ??) if you would go to the ones that you would like, and hit that edit button, I'll sure send your family to you to connect and correct. There is an Alonzo Sr. and Jr., would you like them as well ? I am assuming they are Father and Son.
I sure will check for Harvey Perry's stone also. He may be on the same stone as Rebecca. I had not been doing this so long, that I would have checked the back or sides of the stone for anyone else listed on there. (live and learn i guess) Thank you for hollering at me, I will wait for your response. Sue

My grandmother was a Duree. She was the daughter of Peter Walls Duree, granddaughter of Isaac Duree, great-granddaughter of Peter Walls and Anna. How are we related?
