RE: Tia Elodia Cavazos
Hi Fannie,
You can start by calling the funeral home that provided the service and sending them an email and explain to them you are looking for living relatives. You just found out that Elodia died?

That happen to me too, my fathers wife passed away and I was not notified by her daughter. She had given me some photos but she had and other things that belong to my father. She passed away and I have not been able to drive to Kingsville to see if she had put aside what she was planning on living me.
At least when you call the funeral home, ask if you can leave your ph. no so family can contact you.
I can see if they are listed with their telephone no. If that is possible you want to call them?
As a rule, people will not talk to you about family on the ph. You do have the obit of Adan Canales?
Let me know and I will see if anyone of those people have home phones.

Hi Fannie, I am sorry but I am not related to the Cavazos family. All I do is created memorials in Findagrave. The reason I do that is because my mother was born in that part of Texas. I was born in Jim Wells CO. Orange Grove, Texas. I only knew the Cavazos that lived in Orange Grove, I was too young to remember, but I can ask my cousin who lives in Lubbock, Tx. and he would remember, he is a couple years younger then I. May I ask what exactly are you looking for and when? I help people with their searching, so if I can help you let me know.

My grandmother was probably the one you spke too about the headstone. She was Allene Pettus Lott and she passed away about 2 years ago. He husband, john freeman lott is now 100 and is still living. It is possible that he might remember.

The Pettus family and the Lott family are very closely related with many marriages between them dating back to the 1850's. It has essentially become one family. As to which family your family worked for I don't know.

If there is anything I could help with let me know.
