Hi. I found two more Stackhouses at Forest Hill-Midtown, in Memphis. Keith died in Tippo, MS., and if I recall that is where some of your family was from.
|JamesClarke||Gean Duncan -- Letot Cemetery|
Found a death certificate for Gean. Her name is spelled Jean Duncan. born in June of 1900 and died Dec 28, 1936 of a gunshot wound to the head. Lists the death as a homicide. Says her widow is Edwin E. Duncan. Burial listed as Letot Cemetery.
|dlk from KS||Minerva Jane Duncan|
Minerva Jane Duncan in Springdale Cemetery, Clinton, Iowa is a cousin--born Minerva Jane Aykroyd in Bedford township, Frontenac, Ontario, Canada 5 Feb 1870, died 5 Jan 1945. I don't have much more info on her--her husband was John J. Duncan, I believe--I don't see him on find a grave.

Thanks for your note. There is no better reward for a graver than to hear something we have posted solves a family 'mystery'. I made the transfers, let me know if there are others you would like.

I wasn't able to get in and look for his stone, the gates were locked. But he was listed on the memorial stone just inside.

Hi Carolyn, about Myer Benjamin, I would think you should call Touro Synogogue. They keep their gates locked. That's the oldest Synogogue in the United States. You can google it and email someone there. There is another Jewish Cemetery in Newport across from Common Cemetery, but those Jewish stones are all written in Hebrew.
If you get permission from Touro Synogogue in Newport, and you find out your ancestor is there, and all the details for me, I will go take a photo for you if you find out when they will let me in, etc.

I transferred them to you. I enjoy putting photos of headstones on findagrave because I WANT families to be connected. I wish you luck in the rest of the family tree. There are more Garretts at West Klickitat. MM
