|J T Moon||JONATHAN ABERCROMBIE AND MARY WOODS ABERCROMBIE|
YOU HAVE THEM LISTED IN ABERCROMBIE CEMETERY #1 WHICH IS IN FACT GREENPOND UNITED METHODIST CHURCH CEMETERY. I HAVE RESEARCHED AND CANNOT FIND OR SUBSTANTIATE THIS.
THERE IS HOWEVER, A ABERCROMBIE JOHNSON FAMILY CEMETERY WHICH WAS ON HIS LAND AT THE TIME, AND IS NOW ON PRIVATE PROPERTY, WHERE HE IS BELIEVED TO BE BURIED.
HIS DAUGHTER CLARINDA, WHO MARRIED HENRY PRESTON JOHNSON, HAS 5 CHILDREN BURIED THERE. I PUT THEM ON FIND A GRAVE AFTER I VISITED THIS CEMETERY. THE CEMETERY IS LISTED IN A BOOK I FOUND IN THE LAURENS COUNTY LIBRARY. IT WAS FROM A LAURENS CEMETERY SURVEY IN 1945 DONE BY JAMES AND MARGARET BOLT.
EVEN AT THAT TIME, MOST OF THE ROCK MARKERS WERE NOT LEGIBLE. HOWEVER, THE ONES FOR CLARINDAS CHILDREN ARE STILL PERFECT. I AM GOING BACK TO MAKE PICTURES OF THEM FOR Find A Grave.

I was delighted to see the Young Cemetery listing in Hall Co. GA. I am puzzled by the death date for Luzaney Gadsey Young Blake, however. She died in the same year as she was born (1815) but was married to Allen Blake?
Can you please check your transcriptions for me for her correct death date?
Thanks so much!

I was wondering how you arrived at fact that Mary Woods and Johnthan Abercrombie are buried here. I have been unable to substantiate that and would love to be sure.
Also, do you know why it is called the Abercrombie Family Cemetery as it is the church cemetery? The people at the church do not know and cannot help me.
