I started my genealogy about 15 years ago. Things happen, and I had to quit for quite a few years. I am back now, and I am hoping to make a difference on here to help other people. |
I have met a few people on here, and they are great! They have done so much for genealogy. I am hoping that I can do the same.
I am researching: Bange, Epping, Luemkemann, Linkeman, Waterman, and many more.

I dont understand why the pic of William Hardin doesn't show up but the one for his wife does. When I went to the Find A Grave site it opens for me. Perhaps a problem with the website or your computer. If you can try again later maybe it will correct itself. Please let me know and I will see if I can reload the image. Sorry for the problem.

|Debbie Belk Ellis||Lula Waterman|
I took pictures of all the headstones near Lula Waterman's, but there was not one for Hollis Waterman. Natchezbelle.org does not list Hollis Waterman on their tombstone transcription page as being buried at Natchez City Cemetery. That can be found here:
Sorry I can't be of more help.
|Lynn Marie Vint||RE: Anna Mae Greenley Wright|
That's where I had it before. That's why I put it there in parenthesis--because it comes up in the wrong order.
I really don't know what else to do. Find A Grave says to leave the first married surname off completely. I don't like that either, especially when all the kids were by the first husband, and it happens that way more often than not.
There is no good solution!
|Lynn Marie Vint||Anna Mae Greenley Wright|
Thank you for the information you sent for Anna Mae Wright.
I did have her maiden name listed as Waterman, which is why it appeared in italics. I had the name Greenley in parenthesis only to confirm that it was her surname at one time. I had Wright in the surname box since that was her name at the time of death. Obviously, my solution was confusing.
At your request, I changed Anna's last name to Greenley Wright. This obviously looks better, since the names appear in the proper order, but I usually do not do like to do it this way because it messes up Find A Grave searches. Anna's memorial will no longer come up if someone searches for Greenley or for Wright. The only way her name will appear in search results is if someone types in her maiden name or both of her married names together as Greenley Wright.
I do wish Find A Grave would come up with a better way to take care of this since so many women are married twice.
Thanks also for the obituary. I incorporated the all of the information into her bio in a way that does not violate copyright laws. In addition, I added some information I found elsewhere.
Again, thank you very much for your help! Have a great weekend.

You are very welcome. Those old tombstones are a challenge to photograph but they say not to rub very hard on them and certainly do not put any chemical on them. Just think 1913 - to 2013 that's a hundred years - isn't it wonderful it has lasted this long? Ruth
