Bio and Links
Bio Photo Back in 2004, I decided I wanted to learn where I came from, I didn't realize how addicting it would become. As of 2013, I am a stay at home mom, I run my own handmade goods business and I work on my family tree as time permits. I also have no problem going on the weekends to the local cemeteries in and around Carlsbad, to take pictures for those that request them.

Family names I research that are closely related to me are:
Van Horn

Z J Parkerson & Leona Ussery Parkerson
Z J & Leona were my greatgandfather and greatgrandmother on my mothers side of the family. Nelly Parkerson Bailey was my grandmother, and her daughter Opal Juanita Bailey McCaskill was my mother. Z J was a Confederate soldier during the Civil War. I reciently used that pedigree to join the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Hope this information was helpful.

Thanks Amanda, okay I will keep looking and try to find a copy of the death cert you are viewing. Not sure if you read comments about this cemetery. Its in the middle of an all dirt field, many of the graves were flooded at one time so they are now covered in sand, some are misspelled, some are missing or badly worn away. There is no shade or trees, or grass. Plus its over 100 degrees for months. I will keep looking, we have clouds today so not sure if I will make it or if we will get a rain storm which can make it harder with mud. I will post if I track her down!
