Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a single mom who tries to take a little time each week to work on family history. That is how I found this website a few years ago. I also help my grandfather keep Monk Cemetery in the Austin, Arkansas area clean and mowed. If I have added someone you know and the information is wrong please email me and I will correct it as soon as I can.

Some names in my family that I'm trying to find information on are Trumpfheller, Reed, Tooley, Altermatt, Lovan, Standish, and Vastine.

RE: Little Zion Photos
You are so welcome. We were down there to view the new stones we ordered last spring for my grandfather James Ward and cousin Evelyn Raffety. Saw on Find A Grave that there were many unphotographed stones, so thought we would do them, not realizing we would add about 100 memorials to the cemetery. Who are your relatives? Marietta Miller

Dry Creek Lovan
I am researching James Marion Lovan and found the information on this site in Dry Creek in Howell County. I have some questions about his death date. His wife, Mahala Jane, died in 1911 (MO Death Cert) and 1900 census. She says she is a widow both places. So that would indicate he died before 1900. He is in the 1880 census with her. I know the Loving Family book has his death date as 1915 but don't think that is right. I can't find him in MO Death Records. I was wondering where you got the information about the death date. The tombstone says James S and the metal marker says James H.
My great great grandfather was Daniel Riley Lovan, James' brother.

Thanks for helping.

Lovans in various cemeteries
I will go back to Dry Creek in a couple of weeks or so and look for more Lovans. I had a firend with me the last time I was there and we were heading out to try to find a cemetery on the plat map that I had had trouble finding. So I just took a few pictures in passing. But will look more closely next time. Glad you liked the pictures.
