Dear Sharon,
I now have more specific dates for both Archibald and Sophia nee Bath Pae.
Archibald was born on 14 Oct 1810 in Stirlingshire, Scotland. He was baptized on 4 Nov 1810 and died on 18 Nov 1878, presumably in Monroe, Union co. NC.
Sophia was born ca. 1814 in Richmond, VA. She died on 9 Oct 1885, again presumably in Monroe, Union Co. NC. Her death date was recently discovered in a transcript taken from the "Rudge family bible" | | | James Seidelman

I have her listed in the Riverview Cemetery in Smokey Junction, Scott County, TN. The cemetery is in Smokey Junction, but you have her obit listed on your memorial and I have the family links on mine. If you want to change the cemetery location and add the family links to your memorial, I will delete my entry. Or if you prefer, you can post her obit to my entry and delete yours. i have some photos to share with you. it's kinda of shocking that so need to show a picture but i want my kids to know their byrd family. it's some respectful pictures of my son paying honor to his grandfather from jrotc in hes first year of high school. he looks so much like dad it is unreal, i guess i marked him for life which is good. i also have one of my daughter with him and momma with him. i don't know where to send them too but would love for you and the family to have these. please get back with me when you can.

We met Great Aunt Parlie she was a hoot...loved her. We stayed at her house the last time we went back east...I think we met Loma...did she have a daughter? Parlie was Grandma Hughett's sister I believed she was married a few times that I recall...did she have a son named Rusty or something like that...I remembered my dad taught him how to play the guitar..Keep in touch Well glad to have talked to online....I love to learn about or family history....I didn't even know my Great Grand parents names or my Great Great Parents names and I love the old pictures didn't know what they looked like... | | | Anonymous

Russell Byrd and Effie Lucinda Byrd are my Great Grand Parents on my Grandmothers side of the family....Her name is Orpha Byrd Hughett and my Grandfathers name is Winfield Scott Hughett....I remember meeting her when we traveled back to Tennessee but I was too young to know it was my Great Grandmother...we have a picture of her playing with my Danny O'Day doll....and I believe we may have an old picture of them together I believed he owned a store...by the way my name is Marilyn Ann Hughett daughter of Floyd and Phyllis Hughett... | | | | [View all messages...] |
