I am always so saddened when I post a child's memorial, my heart would go out to the parents and I would think, that has to be the most unbearable pain in the world. Unfortunately, on July 6th, 2012, I experienced that heart breaking pain, when I lost my son, Mark Allen Israels, II. Please pray for my son Mark and keep him in your thoughts. No parent should out live their child.
I want to thank everyone who has sent me thanks and kind remarks through emails and on my contributor page.
I believe that the majority of us contribute because of our love of helping others. I find great reward knowing that I have helped someone because of a memorial I posted. Not everyone knows where their ancestors are buried, or even what happened to them, so sometimes a stranger in the only person who can post the memorial and hopefully a loved one will find it. I do what I do because I love helping others. I have never hestiated to transfer a memorial over to anyone who has asked, or if I see that after I posted a memorial a family member left flowers, I transfer that memorial to them without being asked. I believe in sharing and giving.
I try very hard to make any corrections as soon as possible, and I do apologize if it takes me a week, but in between working full time and family I can't always get to them right away.
When I find an obituary where there is no known survivors, I feel by making a memorial for them, they are remembered, and isn't that what this is all about, so what if I didn't know them, they once were and should be remembered.
I enjoy working with my Southern Nevada findagrave buddy Nevada Bob and one of my newest buddies Eileen.
Currently, I'm working with the 1904-1919 Ross-Burke Funeral Records, It's amazing the price that Ancestry.com charges for their website and how inacurate the information is. (1904-1919 records, with date of death as being 2000-2011)

 | RE: Jennie Mckay Hi Bernice. I am not related to Jennie McKay. I live in New Orleans. I went to Goldfield a few weeks ago to look for the graves of my great-grandmother and great uncle. Before my trip I, checked the find-a-grave website to see if there were any photo requests in Goldfield. Since I was going to be there, I tried to look for several graves of people listed on the website.
While in Goldfield I went to the courthouse looking for records for my family emmbers, so I looked for records of Jennie McKay and a few others with photo requests on this website.
I will upload the funeral record for Jennie McKay in the hopes that someday someone may be able to locate her grave in Goldfield. - LisaAdded by L Lawson on Jun 18, 2013 7:05 AM | | | L Lawson
 | Jennie Mckay Hello. I visited the Goldfield Cemetery in Goldfield, NV last week. I looked for the grave of Jennie McKay but was unable to find it. Most of the graves have no marking other than a simple wooden cross without any engraving.
While in Goldfield I also visited the courthouse looking for help in locating the graves of 2 of my family members. The clerk told me the funeral records were the best bet because they sometimes list cemetery section, row and grave number. I found Jenny McKay's funeral record. It states that she was buried in the Masonic section, but did not list the row and grave, so it would be hard to find her grave at this time. I made a copy of her funeral record and would be happy to send it to you. It lists some vital information about her dates of birth and death and other info about her parents. Please let me know if you want it. My email address is lisa@kutchins-groh.com.
BTW, I found a local man who helped me find my 2 family members even though there were only the wooden crosses with no names on their graves. This was only possible because the funeral records listed the section, row and grave number. This local man has developed a system to find unmarked graves by using those with proper headstones as landmarks. He is marking all unmarked graves in Goldfield as he can identify them. Although he tried to help me find Jennie McKay last week and was unable to do so, as he continues to locate and mark graves he may be able to find her in the future. I can also send you his contact information so that, in the future, if he is able to identify Jennie McKay, he can let you know. - Lisa LawsonAdded by L Lawson on Jun 11, 2013 11:02 AM | | | DasPrussian

 | Our Mother of Sorrows Finished with all my photos. Appreciate any other info you can give. Do you just work with Reno graves or would you have info for others if I had some?Added by snm on Jun 05, 2013 4:40 PM | | | snm
 | Giulio Ianni The info you sent stated his DOB was July 25, 190l. The headstone said 1900. I put it in as 1900. If there is some discrepancy let me know and I can note it on the bio info. Thank you for all of this information. Some of those obituaries are fascinating to read.Added by snm on Jun 04, 2013 11:39 PM | | | BjJ

 | Updates Yes, keep up the good work. I am not a member of Ancestry.com or any other means to gather info so it is nice to have you do it. I probably have about 10 more memorials but only do a few a day. Thanks again - I was worried that maybe you didn't like adding to someone else's entries.Added by snm on Jun 03, 2013 6:16 PM | | | snm
 | Our Mother of Sorrows Thank you so much for the information. It is so much nicer & more informative when there is something to fill in where the blanks are. I appreciate all your help & hopefully looking forward to more. Thanks again.Added by snm on Jun 03, 2013 3:57 PM | | | snm
 | Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery On my brief trip to Reno, I took a few photos of this cemetery. Hoping that maybe you have some info to fill in on some of them. I have read some of your memorial sites from there and you had some amazing info that was quite old. Hope you have some for these. My # is 47314574. Maybe you could take a look. Thanks.Added by snm on Jun 02, 2013 7:48 PM | | | | [View all messages...] |
