Hi, I just read your message and wanted to confirm that the memorial for the victims of Ballantynes Fire has been destroyed in the Chch earthquake. i was living out of NZ when the earthquake struck & have only just returned. My grandfather was a victim of Ballantynes Fire so my reason for emailing you is a very personal one. I was to go down to Chch in a couple months to visit my grandfathers gravesite.

Thanks for your Heads up, Sadly The Yanks don't rate him as Famous, I wish we had a Website for Us in NZ then we could decide who is & isn't famous round here.
