Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Barbara, I am married to John and we have lived in southeast Kansas, most of our lives.

We have been married for 42 years, have three children, two biological, Shane and Shana, and Jeff, that we adopted when he was 16, and 10 grandchildren.

We believe in GOD, believe in The power of Prayer, and believe that there are Angels among us here on earth.

I discovered this site while looking for relatives, and could find none. I hope that the entries that I have made help someone else find the loved ones that they are looking for. I have tried to add as much information as I can so that anyone looking for a loved one can make the connections. However, I am human and do make mistakes, so if you come across one, please let me know.

I love leaving flowers, especially on the entries that have no flowers at all. I believe everyone deserves flowers. I don't do it for the recognition or the count, I do it out of respect for those who have passed on and their loved ones. I would love to see flowers on every entry on this site.

If anyone should want me to remove or transfer one of their family members that I have entered, please contact me and I would be glad to do so.

I have met so many wonderful people through this site and also some distant family members that I was thrilled to meet.

THANK YOU to all who have left flowers for our family and friends. They are so appreciated.

Also a SPECIAL THANK YOU to those who have sponsored any of our memorials. You are very special people.

I lost a very special friend yesterday evening. Patricia Elaine "Trish" Holaway passed away. She was one of the first friends that I made when I first started on this sight. We were friends and "Flower Buddies". I am going to miss her very much. Please leave flowers for her, as she was such a flower giver. Thank You.

Thelma Milstead
I wanted to send you a note to thank you for leaving a flower on one of my family members graves. Thelma Milstead was my Grandmother Gracie(Milstead)Downey's sister. She died when she was 22 and I believe my grandmother said it was complications due to an intestine problem. I just found this site by accident and was surprised to find so many of my Grandmother's family. She never said a negative thing about anyone of them and always smiled when she talked of her childhood memories. It gives me comfort knowing they are buried by close to each other. Just thought you might want to know little bit about them.

Thanks again,
Christine Blystone

William "Billy" Wellington
Dear Barb, Thank you for your kindness in leaving flowers for those who have none. Thanks to you I found out where my third cousin Billy Wellington is buried. I left a sunflower for him and a story of what little I know about him. Aunt Rilla is my great-aunt Orilla (Truex) Wilser. She had bright red hair and was lots of fun for my father and his siblings. She was a practical nurse and went to the aid of any relative in need. She was briefly married to John Wisler, a marriage which "did not work out." She had no children of her own, but children loved her. She lived with my grandfather and his fourth wife and children when she became older. She helped with the children, made bread, and churned the butter. She died in her sleep one night after doing the dinner dishes for the family. As she leaned over the sink, my Aunt Virginia heard her say, "I'll finish these dishes if it kills me." Sincerely, Julie near Philadelphia
