RE: Avery Lee Alverson
It's really fun once you do one.
Go to Avery Lee Alverson memorial
Then when you see "Family Links" enter these numbers for his parents:

106398015 (Father) James Elford Alverson
8980924 (Mother) Mildred McDowell Alverson

Once you type in the number and enter, you should see the names I typed above.

Then Avery Lee Alverson will be linked with his parents.
Let me know if this is helpful and thank you.

Avery Lee Alverson
Thank you for contacting me. I sent you e-mail in March, 2013 asking if you could please link Avery with his parents and never heard back and then wrote you again and received no response. Do you make links? Thank you.

RE: James H Flournoy
Hello, I think you may be right. I am not sure I updated this information on Find A Grave, but I found a Woodland Cemetery transcription list a few months ago from Hopkins County that indicates that James H. Flournoy is buried at Woodland Cemetery. About this time, I went to Woodland to look for some graves and could not locate his grave marker. He was listed on Find A Grave with birth and death date, but there was no photo of his marker. However, there are many broken and faded markers that cannot be read there now. Not sure when the transcription list was made or by whom, but it is possible that I saw his grave but did not know it. It is very likely that he is buried at Woodland Cemetery since he died in 1889. If I remember correctly his first wife died before they came to Texas. I believe the Pickton Cemetery did not open until about 1889 or so. He is not listed on the list posted near the gate of unmarked graves in Woodland. Which indicates to me that at one time his grave marker was readable. I understand that the Black Oak Community south of Pickton was the first place settled near Pickton, and then the Woodland area. Both of them had a Post Office at one time. Some of the people who settled near Black Oak were buried in Woodland. When I went to the Black Oak cemetery, I did see some Flournoys, but did not see anyone I recognized, but have not checked them out yet.
