Memorial 114043889 Anna A Chester
Marty, I was wondering if you could give me anymore info on Anna A Chester. I am doing research on a Anna A Gorman Chester. She was born in June of 1857. Last I had tracked her was a 1916 City Directory of her living in St Paul with her twin daughters. As she "aged" through the U.S. censuses she got a bit "younger" as she went along. She ALWAYS went by Anna A. I'm wondering if this is perhaps her? Where did you get the birth info for this memorial? (This wouldn't be the first time I have come across incorrect birth years on tombstones or cemetery records) Thanks for any info you can shed on the situation?

RE: Poole Cemetery
There was no sign showing the whereabouts of the cemetery exactly. The directions received from Find A Grave got me to just about the correct location. I stopped at a couple of farm homes which helped a lot. Finally, I stopped a farm truck and ask for directions. He took me to the cemetery. I followed him across the corn field to the cemetery. The field had recently been picked otherwise I would have never been able to have made it. It was an early autumn day preceded by several frosty morning which had ended the life of most of the vegetation. My cloths became covered with sticktights which I am still attempting to get off. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable experience! Gale Yocum

Hey do you live in Crow Wing County, MN? Because one of my distant cousin's wife's first husband died in Brainerd, MN, and I was wondering if you lookup obituaries too?

If the city has a web site, sometimes you can get information that way as well. Let me know if there's anything more I can do. If the city is near me, I could go get pics as well.

RE: Mary Evans
Not that I'm aware of. If they're there, they might not have a headstone. The cemetery is under new overseers who are volunteers and Patricia is the one I've been working with. According to her, back in the 1950's they had a fire that destroyed most of the records. For the last few years, they're in the process to make sure that never happens again. They've got volunteers that are walking the graves to compare to what they've already got on record. Is there a Masonic Lodge near you? The one here in my town has one and I'm going to go check it out. They're supposed to have more information.

RE: Mary Evans
I'll be going to the cemetery today and I'll get the information for you. Would Mary be the Mrs. Jesse Evans? In their system there's no Mary, but a Mrs. Jesse. I'll copy all the Evans that they have on record and will send to you.
