|RICHARD PHOENIX||Info on burial records|
Hi. I have the burial records for your 2 memorials
#55220009 and #55220095 if you want the info. I just added Francis's 3rd wife memorial #114686096. They are buried all next to each other. I put in a photo request for her stone, if there is one.

I have transferred the John and Elizabeth Van Matre to you. I have family in the same cemetery. It is very off the beaten track. One of my cousins was living nearby for a while and my husband and I went for a visit. When we returned I entered the entire cemetery so other people could find their relatives. I knew my g g parents were buried there only because one of their daughters lived in the area until she died but her house stayed in my uncle's family until recently.

Are you a relative?
|Steve Voss||RE: J.E. Lang|
The article on James E. Lang is posted. I've typed out the obituary as best as I could make it out in the remarks section accompaning the photo.
I searched the entire paper to find where the article concluded but had no luck. I even looked in the next two days papers to try and find out what happened to the conclusion of the article.

Thank you SO much for helping the work here to continue! :-)

|Steve Voss||James E. Lang Photo Request|
Your photo request for J. E. Lang, Fairmount Cemetery, San Angelo, Tom Green Co, Tx.
His grave is unmarked according to the
San Angelo Genealogical & Historical Society (SAGHS) Survey of Fairmount Cemetery & the office at Fairmount Cemetery.
Today, I went looking in the very old San Angelo newspaper "morgue files" for any death notice or obituary I could find on him. I found an article about him and could post it to "fulfill your photo request" if you wish. The article was published on Apr 14, 1912. The title of the article is "James E. Lang, Deceased, Was Muscian in Taylor's Command". The article is "incomplete" and I could find no conclusion in that days' paper or the two subsequent papers. There is probably only one or two paragraphs missing. Newspapers are notorious for plugging in "Advertising" instead of completing articles according to my wife, who formerly worked for the San Angelo Standard-Times.
Question - Would you want me to "fulfill your photo request" with such an article - considering his grave is unmarked ?
Your wish is my command !

Would you allow me to use your picture of Elizabeth on my family Tree? I am related through the Oatman family.
