IMPORTANT NOTICE: Over the years I have left hundreds of memorial notes on Confederate veteran's FindAGrave memorial pages, using the Confederate Flag as a symbol. Recently I discovered the flag had been replaced with flowers. If you see one of my memorial messages left on a memorial page with flowers instead of the flag, please notify me so that I can make the appropriate changes.|
Sons of Confederate Veterans Compatriot - Camp No. 1921 - The Tallassee Armory Guards.
Please feel free to use/share photographs and other historical information I've posted to memorials.
The Chattahoochee Valley Historical Society has endorsed FindAGrave and as a member of that society I have visited many cemeteries and added graves/memorials on its behalf.
I manage several hundred memorials in Chambers County, AL that Hank Rogers transferred over to me before he became inactive with F.A.G.
Also, most of the very old newspaper items on my memorials are through the courtesy of F.A.G. Member #47182102 who has painstakingly transcribed volumes of "The LaFayette Sun", the official newspaper of Chambers County, Alabama.

Will do as you ask. Thank You Very Much.

You did and I should have listened but when you have 2 sisters telling you otherwise, you know how that will turn out. I still don't know how I got it wrong in the first place. Mrs. Daisy Tucker was one of my teachers at LaFayette and lived there so I guess I just assumed. Thank you for all your help.

Hi. I'm new here. I know I am kin to Marion P. K. Smith, and clemmie P. Smith.
How do I leave messages for individuals (as opposed to public?).
I am also kin to others from the Five Points/Fredonia area--Smiths, Gradys, Trammells, and Matthews.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I finally solved my James Tucker mystery. I had my doubts as to where he was located. My sister called a florist friend and was told that James and his wife Daisy were in LaFayette. Another sister and I walked that cemetery last week from one end to the other and couldn't find them. My brother-in-law went to the funeral home and talked to Jeff Jones and Jeff said they were at Rock Springs. I went to Rock Springs and they were exactly where you said they were. Their memorials now have photos. Thanks for setting me straight on this one. Take care.

Thank you for the flower that you left on my husband's memorial.

Thanks so much, Don.
Also, I saw your post about Hank Rodgers deleting his account. I sure hate to hear that. Hank, Bennie Gross, and you were such a big help to me in piecing together and photographing a lot of my Chambers County McKnight family. Maybe some day, Hank will consider contributing again.

I sure understand your frustration, because the same thing happened to me! If I run across any of your former Confederate flags which are now flowers, I will notify you ASAP. Please do the same for me. Thanks!!

I deleted the memorial and can't remember the details which caused me to post it in LaFayette. I probably got him mixed up with another James Tucker. I'll be in the area in a couple of weeks and may go to Rock Springs on my swing through that part of Chambers County. Thanks for the heads up.

|Sam Alsup||James Langley|
Saw your memorial for James Langley in Chambers Co., AL. Have been doing some research on this line as his descendants YDNA is a perfect match of my own. One issue however. I find that the War Department shows he died in 1853 not 1868. I have not found him in any 1860 census or other record after 1853. Any ideas?

Hi, I have added the obit you sent but also said contributor Chuchill had sent it. If you will remind me when it appears I will fix your name. I'm in the midst of moving, that is why I ask you to remind me please. Thanks, Bobbye Varner
