I have placed on John Henry Samples' three wives memorial the marriage record of each. If you wish to add these three records to John's memorial you are most welcome to do so.

Thanks for your reply.

My e-mail is

I wish I knew that the Samples Cemetery was that close to Monterey when I was there, I believe in 2002.

What time I had, I spent at the library and court house. I only had time to visit a few cemeteries around Monterey and McDowell. At that time I knew I had decendants buried there. I have many ancestors in Highland County. The Pullins, Beathes, Rexrodes, Armstrongs and many others.

Again I thank you for your time and trouble.

Samples Cemetery

Thanks for the drections, Jim.

Could I trouble you for two pieces of information to add to the directions. About how many miles from town and is the cemetery located on the right or left side of the road. Just had another thought. Can the cemetery be seen from the road?

Samples Cemetery

Thanks for adding the cemetery photo to the Samples Cemetery and cemetery information. It helped me to add about fifteen new Samples to my line.

I was wondering if you could send me the directions to Samples Cemetery from Monterey. I would add them to the cemetery so people would be able to locate the cemetery. It would greatly be appreciated.

RE: genealogy
I *just* saw your message regarding Frances Stein, buried in Greenmount Cemetery, Philadelphia from November. I just transferred her to you.

I got her death notice when I was transcribing other notices from the same paper.

As for the newspaper where I got the notice from: I go to the Free Library of Philadelphia's Newspaper Department (at the main branch), which has many of the long-defunct Philly newspapers that are not online: Press, Record, Public Ledger, and North American, to name a few. Many times, notices and obits didn't appear in the Bulletin or Inquirer, but they were in the other papers (cheaper to place them there, I surmise).

Sorry for the horrible delay in responding to you.
