 | RE: Finland My maternal grandparents came from Finland in the early 1900s, went through Ellis Island and settled in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. Beautiful area. Thats where a lot of Finns and Scandanavians migrated because it looked so much like their native homeland. I would some day like to visit the old homeland. Glad you made it there. A added note, the late actor Albert Salmi was also of Finnish decent. He was a demi-actor and very good one at that. Appeared in the old Daniel Boone TV show in the 1960's.
