I have been researching my family lines for many years and have to admit I have become a little obsessed with Find a Grave! Would like everyone to be remembered, so its always great to find family members who have long been forgotten and link them with other family members. |
Appreciate the Find A Grave volunteers who have taken their time to photograph and enter memorials.
Also appreciate hearing from anyone researching the same family lines. Most of my information is basic, so if you have life details, corrections, additions, or obituaries I would love to hear from you to make these records more thorough.
Should any memorials under my care be for a member of your family, please let me know and I will gladly transfer. I'm not one to hold on to memorials if they have closer loved ones. Please use the "Edit" tab on the affected memorial, and then the "suggest a correction" link to send me your request or update.
Pearl Hanse was my first help in discovering Hanse family information. A letter to her in 2000 provided me with much needed help to get started on my genealogy obsession! My side of the Hanse family did not hand down or share stories of the old families. I had to turn over several stones and put many puzzle pieces together before I even found out names to start researching. Pearl helped me with that start and even provided an Andrias L. Hanse family photograph that she was holding on to just waiting for someone from this side of the family to contact her and want information. I was able to meet Pearl at her farm (the original Hanse family homestead) in Morris, MN in 2001, it was a great joy to have her show me photos, original Hanse family keepsakes, the old home, the farm, Scandia church and graveyard. She was still very agile and remembered great family details, I wish I could have spent more time with her and listened to more of her stories.
Good luck in your own research! I would really like to get info on the Westby side of the family if anyone has the unpublished genealogies by Fred Hanse called "The Descendants of Neils Neilson Westby" and "The Descendants of Erland Halvorson" I would greatly love to hear from you.
Researching: Hanse, Westby, Gimberlin, Weseman, Glover, Mitchell, Freeman, Ziemer, Bahwell and everyone in between.

Corrections done...will head back to WI Sunday. Hope to get back to Willow on Tuesday, weather permitting. Foot doing better, still a bit sore at the end of the day, but healing. Thanks.

Hi, Lauri; I've linked Roger to your Anna and Henry and I've transferred to you. I've posted the photo's on Anna and Henry and I've deleted the duplicates. I usually try to locate duplicates instead of posting new ones but sometimes a few slip by me...I'm hoping to get back to Willow River and finish what I started last summer. The weather, a slight foot injury and a few weeks at our vacation home have kept me from photographing in June. I'm glad to have been of help...that's what keeps me doing it. Sue

Anna's husband Harry married my g-grandmother Stella McCammon. I remember Florence, but not Glen. We always called Florence "Flossie". I'll do some digging around in my box of photo's, seems I have a picture of all of them somewhere...probably get this done after Xmas. Thanks for adding your info. I agree with you, the more complete the memorials the better it will be for future generations. Thanks again! I'll be in touch about the photo.

Transferred to you so you can add your info. Thanks for doing this! Nice photo's you added. Harry was only g-grandfather I ever knew - his second wife Stella was my g-grandmother. Sorry, but I don't know anything about Anna's parents. Let me know when you are done. Thanks again!

Happy to add anything you have!

Just got this all updated. Delmer was a friend of the family and a really great guy. I have been trying to enter memorials for all of the "friends and family" and it really is almost a full time job to get all the info and link everyone together. Winter is my down time and I try to catch up then, but this info is great and I thank you very much. Next on the list is pictures.....
Have a great day and thank you for all that you do for F.A.G.

Oops! I deleted his record, sorry about that! Thank you for your kind words, I'm glad that you have found family through my memorials, we just all work together to help each other, that's what it's all about. Take care, have a good evening!

Hi -- I moved the tombstone picture over to your memorial, and I deleted my entry --- glad I could do this for you.
