Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been doing genealogy on my family lineage for over 35 years. It started out as a hobby and quickly became a passion. My goal is to locate my grandmother's brother, John Joshua Barron who disappeared in 1926. Hopefully one day I'll discover what happened to him. Surnames I'm researching are: Slay, Hatley, Barron, Nicklas, Casburn, Ratliff, Jones and Randolph.

RE: Fortsonia
I'm glad to help, cemeteries are fun to explore. Just as a note, most of the entries are listed as being in the Fortsonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Actually, the church doesn't have a cemetery. The Fortsonia Community Cemetery is right close to the church and all of these folks are in that community cemetery. I just haven't figured out how to ask FindaGrave to merge the two cemeteries yet.

THank you so much for the photo in Morton Cemetery. We visited there but didn't find her grave so it is good to know what it looks like. Thank you again.

God bless you!
Dear Liz,

I am Chad's brother. Thank you so much for taking the photo of Chad's headstone. It's such a beautiful monument. I received the photo in my e-mail this morning, and it's really brought closure to me. I became so busy with life in general, I was never able to make it back to the cemetery after the service. Yesterday, Chad would have been 42 years old and the delivery of your photo was perfectly timed. Again, this brought closure, and for that I am eternally grateful.

With endless gratitude,

Colby Bauer

RE: Oliver Parker
No Liz I am not 100% sure that Oliver is the son of Elisa. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. My grandfather's name is Enoch and he is the half brother of Elisha but My grandfather was only two years older than Oliver so he could not be his father. Did the death certificate give a mother? My information came from 2 family members here in MS. They also said he had a twin sister. Is it possible for you to send me a copy of the death certificate?
Thank you, Fran

RE: Cemetery Transfers
That's what we would think. It took begging and 6 months to get these memorials and lots of excuses.
