My source is "Gilsons on Gilson Ridge" by Maurien Struthers. She refers to Euguen Throop's "History of Titusville" ad "Titus Family" by Olivia Titus Moore. She also refers to information from Titus Cemetery records and History of Crawford Co., 1885, p 585. The location of the cemetery was behind the Hydetown Methodist Episcopal Church according to Maurine. I hope this proves helpful to you.

I live in Erie and am working on a volume of grave locations for veterans of the United States Colored Troops. I would like your permission to use the picture you posted of John W. Clark's grave in this compilation. I will cite you as the source.
thanks for the photo!

No idea who may have made the inquiry. I would be willing to help also. I live in Michigan so I would need so if I receive enough notice, I will be happy to join you cleaning the cemetery.
I must tell you though this will not be the 1st time it has been cleaned up in the past 20-years that I have been corresponding with relatives.
Thank you so much for the transfer. Have a great day.

So you're going to ask Ted to take his memorial down?

I'm the same way with Woodlawn. Once in a while I drive through it. Plus I like to take the dog to small cemeteries. I think I'd get yelled at if I had her there! Keep me in the loop between you and Teed because I have his kid to link up. Thanks!
