Georgia (Decatur, and now Cherokee County) has been home for two thirds (approaching three fourths) of my life. Two sons, three granddaughters, and three grandsons, all of whom are Georgians.
An Amarillo, Texas native, and seven generations removed from Patrick and Margaret McCullough Phinney of Chester (District)County, SC, dating from 1786.
History at times surpasses genealogy as the greater interest. This site is a compilation of stories from individuals responsible for that history, and it never ceases to improve with each addition.
