|I am past president and historian of the National Association of Swor Families. I am trying to help save the Garvin Memorial Cemetery in Dallas, Dallas, TX as it has been rezoned as commercial property with multi-families owning it one of which is buried there Mr. Mathis! As in most old cemeteries the black families were buried outside the now fenced in area. The land around the cemetery is for sale! I don't know for sure who is behind the selling of the land and are trying to move the graves! This is outrageous as the land was donated by Mr. Garvin to be a cemetery for all time and he is buried there with other members of his family. The name of the Garvin Cemetery was called Smith Hall Cemetery at first. Please help us protect our ancestors and their resting place!|

Thanks for your kind note. I have put together many ancestry trees for people and I maintain the grave records I have found for them. I maintain my records for numerous reasons. You added your records of pleasant and william swor 8 yrs after mine and Im okay with that. Its fine with me that you have your record of these two.

Are these the exact same person? The dates are different so I'm not sure.

Do you think that the headstone photos for John Daniel Mouser and his wife, Anna Nube Nations Mouser are actually from the Oak Grove cemetery in Hempstead County, Arkansas? They are listed in both the Oakgrove Cemetery and the Madison D Hall cemetery and I am just trying to get some clarification on this. One contributor has told me that the headstones are shown in Oakgrove Cemetery in Arkansas headstone records. I am having dificulty linking family members when they are shown in both cemeteries. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for accepting the edits for Daniel's memorial. It is so nice to have people who are conscientious about keeping the memorials up to date with the most correct information available.

thank you so much for posting these!!
My husband's family are descendants
of the Venables. Our family records
go back to James Duncan Venable and
Catherine. I don't have much more
than what is on their memorial pages,
but the Norwood Family Tree on
Ancestry. com has William and Sarah
(Pinson) Venable as James' parents.
Maybe I have jumped the gun to assume
this to be true, but if incorrect I
certainly need to change information.
More research is in order!
Hope to hear from you.
|Sujava||William Henry Patterson|
I am working on Johnson Chapel Cemetery and just finished taking all photos of markers.
There is listed William Henry Patterson in Johnson Chapel, but there is no stone.
I see you have a memorial at Patterson Cem 47493347 also. Also noticed you took some photos there.
Did you find a marker for William Henry there? And should the Johnson Chapel one be removed? The McEvoy records states Johnson Chapel and his death record states Jackson Cem.
Any info would be appreciated.
Maybe I need to go to Patterson Cem next to take more photos. It is on my side of town. Is it easy to get to?

I had added the links you requested. Have you searched for Rebecca (Wood) Simmons in Bristol Co., Mass? RI borders fluctuated early on and she might have been buried in an area that is now part of MA. Seekonk, Swansea and Rehoboth might be a possibility.
Nope not related. My mother was an Eldridge. Good luck in your search.
