I seen your message for Contributor #47348381. According to a Sikeston Herald 1954 newspaper article he is buried in the old Hunter family burial lot just off Baker Lane. Cemetery ?. If you have any information on what cemetery I would like to know. One states Hunter Memorial Cemetery and the other Hunter Cemetery. The DAR dedicated a bronze marker at the grave of Joseph Hunter in October 1954. Also mentions he was born in "Virginia" August of 1760. The memorial of contributor #47348381 is a duplicate. He needs to delete his. He mentions there is no headstone. There is one for Joseph #26519794 created in 2008 showing his birth year of 1760 born in "Pennsylvania" and death of December 1823 and yes, there is a headstone along with the bronze marker. I have been working on connecting this family on find a grave for sometime now. This article also gives a lot of family history such as his parents and siblings names and marriage date to Catherine Phillips. I hope this help. Diane #47587128

|David Wallis||Josephine Eisenbise|
Thank you so much for the transfer. I've already added some updates and links.
I forget sometimes when searching, to not always use exact spellings, or it may not be found. The memorial you created, spelled Eisenbise without the E on the end. I accidentally found it when I misspelled it myself.
Do you know wher I can find some other info in the area?
Her husband remarried in Dec 1898 to Mrs Rebecca A____.
Her married surname is very difficult to read on a copy of their license.
Thank you again. You really made my day!!

Thanks Jan for the information, I've updated both their memorials. We just returned from a 3 week RV trip & I'm going thru my email messages.

|Darlene||Enoch Riley McMann|
Jan, would you please add Enoch's parents to his Memorial #22003770. His father was Reuben McMahan, Memorial 26675796 (buried in Hamilton County, IL in the New Prospect Cemetery. His mother was America McElvain McMahan, Memorial 26675787. He was their son even though he chose to spell his surname McMann. I was told he changed the spelling to McMann because his mail was getting mixed up with another McMahan. Enoch was my father's great-uncle and my parents visited with Enoch and his wife in Missouri.I descend from his sister, Nancy Hannah McMahan Scott. Thank you.

Thank you for taking your time to look for his grave. Perhaps he is unmarked or the headstone gone if there had been one. I wonder who to contact about cemetery records there just to see if he there.
