|I was born in Enterprise, Alabama, but returned to Mt. Carbon when I was 6 weeks old. My Father is Samuel L. Zwilling who was born at Longacre. My grandfather was Albert Zwilling and my grandmother was Mary Ann Abbott. Mary Ann's parents were John Abbott and Malinda Coon and I believe Malinda's parents were Joel Coon and Letitia Hall (may also be spelled Laticia). I have spent the past 30 years in Las Cruces, NM. I come back to the area whenever I can which is not often enough. With no family there, I just visit friends or come in for a class reunion. I have been trying to put together my Dad's family history on both his Father and Mother's side. I do have some photos of the Craig-Huddleston Tombstones that I will try to get scanned in over the holiday.|

|Donna Burnette||George Burnette|
George Burnette was my grandfather. He was married to Mary Jane Brinsdon b. 1872 in Wales They had sons. Richard Lee, William, Elbert , Dana Haynes and Earl Brinsdon Burnette my father. George and Mary Jane divorced in about 1920 and she married JP Cotter. As far as I know , grandpa George never remarried. He was killed in a mine accident at the age of 73. A man trip car broke loose and he sustained serious head injuries. It was told to me that he saved a couple of men in the process.

Thank you Betty, do you know the name of the post office so I can get their street address. I am traveling from out of state to visit and I have no clue where I am going LOL without an address.

I was wonderng if you have a street address closest to the cemetery. I will be traveling out of town to get to the cemetery and have not been able to locate it. I understand it is over grown and my plans are to get there before the brush and under growth starts growing again. Do you have any history on who owns this cemetery?
|Donna Burnette||Carl E Burnette|
Carl E Burnette was the son of Dana Haynes Burnette and Louise Nelson. Dana was my uncle and Carl , I believe, was their first son.
My father and was Earl Brinsdon Burnette the son of George Burnette and Mary Jane Brinsdon Burnette Cotter. His brothers were Richard Lee, William A , Elbert Duprey and Dana Haynes Burnette. Grandpa George died in a mine accident when he was 73. William his son also lost his life in the mines. Richard I think had a heart condition as did my father Earl. Elbert had asthma. My grandma Mary Jane Brinsdon divorced George in about 1919 and married a J.P. Cotter.
