PLEASE REQUEST TRANSFERS.... If you are related and can enhance the memorial by adding additional information, please request transfer, giving me your relationship. No transfers just for collection of a particular family name. |
If you request a transfer, be sure you are committed to a lifetime of maintaining the memorial. Unfortunately a few of my older transfers are maintained by contributors who no longer respond.
IMPORTANT: When sending information to add, give source of information. Without sources, sorry, but changes will not be made. With new quick edits, this is still important. Unless evident on memorial, please use the other suggestion and include source. Please note that online trees, such as ancestry's, are not valid sources unless documentation is attached to the tree.
We've searched many graveyards, seen stones that were in such disrepair, and wondered what would happen to them as time marched on. This site is a wonderful way to preserve, if not the actual stone, at least a replica by photograph for future genealogists.
If you have taken better gravestone photos that what we have posted, please post yours and send a message - we will review and delete ours if appropriate.
Happy graving to all!
---Bill & Linda

Thank you for the photo of Zachariah Beecher's stone. It looks like that was a tough one to track down.

Stone needs to be cleaned, too dirty to be read clearly....photo taken from front view, you can get a better read of old stones if photo take from slight angle depending on the sun.
Can make out parents names John & Sarah..last name may be Keiner..I will look for variations that lived in area in 1850-1860 as time permits.

Bill and Linda,
Thank you so very much for taking the time to find and photograph Jacob and Rachel's headstones. They are the aunt and uncle of my 2g grandmother, Julia. Her parents died when she was young and they adopted and raised her.
