I recently retired from the Navy after 30 years of service. I have been working in genealogy and family history as a hobby since I was in high school. Family names that I research include: Arrington, Pennington, Williams, Brown, Hadwin, Poole, Milam, Hammond, and many others.|

Jefferson County. Under the name Arrington Cemetery is Matthews. Do you have any way of knowing why? There are 7 interments and all are Arrington. I am looking at Jefferson County cemeteries for Meshack Mat(t)hews and his son, Galba. We are sure they are buried in Georgia but county is not known. thank you for any assistance. Very best regards, Lynda Fowler

The marker indicates he is in the NSDAR. I am in the NSDAR and I do not find an Ancestry number for him. Do you think you could find it out? I think he is one of my ancestors and I can prove it if I can find him in the DAR database.

Thank you so much for the photo of James McClain's grave. You did an excellent job, and I really appreciate your time and effort in getting and uploading the photo!
Congratulations on your retirement from the Navy, and I want to thank you for your service to our country! :-)
|Paulette Arrington||Thank you|
Tommy, just want to thank you for adding my daddy (Mide Parrish) to the find a grave site. He is buried at Matthews Church of God Cemetery. I am just now hearing/learning about find a grave. I don't really know what to do yet, but his DOB is wrong and I am going to try to get his info updated. I will also add a photo. I was able to find quite a few of his relatives that I didn't know using this web site and I am so excited. Again thank you. If you have any advice please send it on to my email, firstname.lastname@example.org

In adding another name to the Snellings Mem Cemetery, Columbia Co, GA, I noticed you have a duplicate name listed in a duplicate cemetery.You may want to delete the name...I will then ask Find A Grave to delete the empty cemetery.
Thanks and have a great day.

I was wondering if my line of Arrington's connects to yours. My paternal grandmother was Carrie Louise (Arrington) Eiland b.1915 in Richmond County, GA d.1995 Tampa d/o Louie George Arrington b.1888 in GA d.1967 Tampa, s/o Silas Arrington b.1843 d.1921 // I know that Silas served in the CSA // my grandmother's last sibling, Arthur Andre b.1938 d.2012 past away July 10th and he was the last of nine children of Louie George Arrington. I have them all listed here on Find A Grave.
My uncle that just passed away served over 20 years in the Air Force and he served during Vietnam; I joined the Air Force in 1985 but only served five years; no regrets but got out so that my children would not have to live the life of a military brat [I wanted them to be able to spend their childhood in one place. lol]

Thank you so much for the wonderful photos of my great grandmothers tombstone. Your response was amazingly fast! it's such a wonderful feeling to finally see the actual place where she was buried.
Thank you for all your many other contributions to Find A Grave as well.
