|Harry Anderson||Searching for Wroblewski genealogy|
Hi Nicole Smethers-Wroblewski and any others who read this. My name is Harry Anderson and my genealogy web page is http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/64977548/family. I welcome all information that may help me find my ancestors and I in turn will try to help you.
Nicole: I have limited information on my Wroblewski side – see summary below. I would appreciate any information you can provide. You mention your husband Michael Wrobleski – would like to know if he and therefore you are related to me. If so then maybe we can email and/or talk in the future. Thank you in advance for any information.
Me – My Mother Hedwig Madeleine Wroblewski (B: 01-Apr-1920; D: 08-Jul-1999) My Father: Harry Charles Anderson (B 1911 D 1956)
My Grand Mother (Mom side) Adela (Sophia?) Rosch (B: 16-Aug-1884; D: 28-Jul-1970). She was born in Laponow, Austria (Now Poland) – also known as Kobylac or Cobylka. Her Husband Ignatius Wroblewski (B: 01-Feb-1870; D: 18-Mar-1943) Born in Tarnow Austria (Now Poland). Their Children were Hedwig Wrobleski (Mom) and her brother Henry Wroblewski. He had two wives and at least 3 children between them but not sure of names, etc.
Beyond these, my information is just from research and not certain.

I am also related to the Smethers. Eva Alice Wooten my great grand aunt was a sister to my great grandfather Elza Wooten. I have uploaded a picture of Howard and one of Juanita(a snap shot) on their memorials if you'd like to see them. Just as a note, I live in Alvin, TX.. small world sometimes.
If there is anyone out there who makes cemetery photos at Pisgah Prebsyterian Church Cemetery in Woodford Co, Kentucky, please let me know --- I desperately need a picture of the tombstone of Henry Smither born 8 May 1828 and died 26 Dec 1904 in Woodford Co, Ky. It has been verified that he has a tombstone on his grave but I live in TN and am disabled so I am not to make one myself --- any help will be most appreciated.
|June Millwood||Margaret S. Smethers|
To anyone researching subject's genealogy. Her name is Susanna Margaret Winn d/o Champion Winn and Mary Margaret Creger/Crider. At age 22 she married Henry Smithers in Smyth Co, VA 3-8-1855. They moved shortly thereafter to Morgan Co, and thento Fleming Co. KY. She and Henry had at least four children. From all acounts they both died in Woodford and/or Fayette Co, Ky & are buried at Pisgah Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Woodford Co, KY. I cannot locate a death certificae for Henry, but I understand that he has a headstone and I figure that Margaret also must have one. If anyone is interested in pursuing this please contact me.
|Kenneth Charles Smethers||Smethers|
I am Kenneth Smethers. I was born to Lawrence and Patricia (Shaughnessy) Smethers of Fort Wayne, IN. in 1959.
My father, 1933 was born to Lawrence Raymond Smethers, 1885 and Lucinda(Bell)Smethers both of Fort Wayne, Allen County IN. Lawrence R. was born in Washington township to James K, 1850 and Sara (Horn) Smethers also of Allen Co, James from Washinton twp and Sara maybe from Eel River twp.?
James was the son of John Smethers, 1816-1864 and Julia Smethers 1820-1896. They moved to Washinton twp. after 1850 from OH. John may have been born in PA according to James K's death cert. Johns mother's name was Ann (1784-1867)and on her gravestone it says wife of John. I suspect that Anne moved to Indiana with her son John Smethers after her husband John had passed. this is why he isn't buried in the Hatfield cemetery on the North side of Fort Wayne, Washington twp. Allen Co. IN with the rest of the Smethers mentioned above from James K to Ann W/O John.
I know where there is plenty of Smethers DNA as I have 7 brothers and sisters all with children and we would love to know where in OH/PA John and Ann as well as John and Julia came from.
