My family tree has been my hobby since 1976. I remember reading that gravestones wouldn't be there if they didn't want someone to read them and remember the dearly departed. That's when I became more comfortable spending time in cemeteries.
Edmund Crawford Hi, Please don't "Kill" me...I made a mistake re: He being my 3rd GGrandfather!..When I saw Mary Wolf, as his wife, & I Knew I had JOnes/& KLINE, it got me to rechecking some notes...1860 census, the copy is so light you cant see it, but it is transcribed, EMANUEL EDWARD CRAWFORD is my 3rd GGrandfather because of his son PETER, I guess somewhere along the line I managed to combine the two families because of the similar names, & that both had a Mary for a wife! Peter Death Cert. confirms it is KLINE. Edmunds son, Isaacs death cert. states Mary WOLF. I guess we are still cousins though!!, I am so sorry for the confusion. ps. Edmond, 12/31/1845, his Death Cert. States EDMOND, & Mary JONES...This is getting more confusing by the minute!..LOL...
RE: Edmund Crawford memorial Happy Holidays Cousin!!! I'm sorry it has taken so long to get back to you...but we are ICED in today in OKC, so I have time to review. Are you on Ancestry? I had his wife as Mary JONES, I am trying to figure out where I got that...& on Peters Death cert. his wife states Mary KLINE..?, I may have gone down the wrong trail...It gets Sooooo confusing with everyone having the same dang names! LOL. I am bad about starting on one person, & of course they have 10 kids, & all of a sudden they have become their own "town"!, with all the hints on ancestry, I get easily distracted!! & wander off what I actually started looking for!..Your photos are from '06, so you have been at this for quite some time. I made a road trip to Pa. over Memorial day, took 1100+ photos & added them to F.A.G! it was a whirlwind trip, but it was great! I am planning on going again! Hope to hear from you. PS my tree is private. my email address is email@example.com G
Jacob Hess # 14204647 Valarie, Thank you for transferring Jacob Hess to me. I have just begun to do the research on him and his wife Margaret, who I now know was Margaret Heil. I have found their daughter Mary (Mariah) who married Samuel Minier. I have verified Jacob and Margaret as Mary's parents through Mary's Death Cert. Jacob and Mary had several children but I have only been able to verify Mary so far. I am pretty sure they had a son named Joseph who also married a sister of Samuel Minier. her name was Lurena Minier. Thank you so much for all you have done regarding the Old Lutheran Cemetery grave relocations. I keep your notes handy so that I can refer to them often.
Susanna Kuder Find A Grave# 14204678 You indicate in the memorial that she was moved March 1925 to New Rosemont Cemetery. Can you tell me how you know this? I am a descendant and would love that story. Cheryl T Rush
RE: Aaron Evans inscription revision Thanks for the offer Valerie but I am not a relative just another researcher. Was at the cemetery last Friday to photograph. I didn't get to finish because it was just to HOT and the sun was very strong. Will have to go back again to photo the rest of the stones.
Catherine Warr Hello there, I've just seen a note on my relatives memorial page that Catherine was moved to the new Rosemont cemetery back in 1925. Could I ask where you had gotten this information? I'm doing research on this Family and would Love to connect with you about this question. Thanks Cheryl
RE: Victor Everett Hi--Thank you so much for catching my typo! Victor was my husband's grandfather. Lester Everett was my father-in-law; They never discussed the grandparents, so Wayne and his two sisters know nothing about their Everett grandparents but I do have an obituary for him that gave 2 of his sisters as Mrs. Owen Danner and Mrs Judson Price. Perhaps you would be willing to share the info you have, that would be wonderful. Did Victor have brothers? What are his sisters names? Have a wonderful day!!
