As of August 2011, I'm finally a permant resident of Australia ! Yea ! I now live in Cairns, Queenland, Australia. And as luck would have it directly across the street from the city cemetery ! I volunteer for the Cairns City (aka Martyn Street)Cemetery as well as the Mcleod Street Pioneer Cemetery. So if you would like a photo from any of these cemeteries please email me directly. They will be done at no charge as a volunteer from Findagrave. |
You MUST Place in Subject Line"Cemetery Photos" or they will be deleted without viewing.
If you find any errors or wish to assume management of any of the memorials I have posted, please email me with "Cemetery Photos" in Subject Line other wise it goes into the bin and I never get it.
G'Day Mates ! No Worries !

I found Henry Hugh James Martin on the 1964 Cairns electoral roll but missing from 1968 roll so thought it was a good match. Ian

Many thanks for the photographs that you have added to the memorials of the crew and passengers of the Royal Netherlands East Indies Air Force C-47 Dakota that crashed north of Mossman in 1944. They are much appreciated.

|petarrr||RE: McLEod Cemetery Listings|
I have had a bit more of a look into it and I think there are 2 ways that it could be done:
1. YOu send me a list of listings you want to change (name and url) to my email kdarnie at gmail dot com and i will transfer ownership of the listing to you (i dont need it back).
2. YOu make the edits to the listings via the edit function. I will then approve all you edits.
Me making the changes would be a duplication of effort for both of us i think.
Please email me to the above address if you would like to discuss further, otherwise i am happy for you to make a decision and start the process.

Im not sure exactly where I got them from, they were in a spreadsheet and I dont have the original file.
Depending on the number of issues, I can either make the changes myself or I can just transfer ownership of the listing to you.
Let me know what would be best.

Yes, any information on my cousin Hugh Grier #60857787 would be greatly appreciated. You could just add it to the memorial, or send it - fay_carmichael at msn dot com
He had a wife Mary and four children, but I couldn't find any of their names listed in Australia's cemeteries.
Thank you, Fay

Richard - thank you SO much for going to so much trouble. Your photo is perfect.
My cousin will be thrilled with this new information. Hugh was the brother of her great-grandfather who was married to my great-grandfather's sister.
Wouldn't they be amazed at what we go through to find out more about their lives?!!
