You're welcome and glad it expanded your research.

Glad I could help. I typically avoid this cemetery until I have 20 or 30 requests, which I have to submit in advance for locations. Apparently, I'm not the only one to avoid it.

You're welcome. I hope they were okay. It was a bad time of the day for some shadows and I was basically passing through so I had no choice but to shoot what and when I could.
Hope you didn't mind the labeling.

You have my mother, Grace M. Neff McCormick, passing away in Brunswick County, NC. This is incorrect.....it was New Hanover County, NC.
Someone put Brunswick County down and several people have copied it......it's an error.

Thanks are long overdue to you for listing Mary (Garrison) Rodenbaugh Longacre in Mt Hope Cemetery at Peru,IN. Many thanks. You did a good job on the coverage. I wondered if you would like to have all her children beside Charles Rodenbaugh. ( I can send them if you like.) My direct ancestor to her is her daughter Charlotte (Rodenbaugh) Van Valkenburg, wife of Union Col.John VV of the 20th IN. The VVs were settled in Huntsville, AL, by 1870, having moved from Peru, IN, after the Civil War. We're still here.
It appears that Mary Longacre must've moved to Peru, IN, to be with Charlotte's family after the death of Rev Thomas Longacre, which occurred early in the war. She died in April 1865 about the time of the surrender. The Longacre home was in the Big Coon Valley near Stevenson, AL, a real war hot spot at the time as it was on the railroad across N AL-a vital supply link. (Gen. Rosencrantz was headquartered at Stevenson.) Mary's son Charles Rodenbaugh's family also appears to have fled Stevenson to IN as they had a child born in IN then. (They went back to Stevenson after the war.)
I visited Rev Thomas Longacre's grave about a year ago. While he is not specifically marked, a memorial from his church members is included with the burial marker of Judith Longacre and there are two burials there. (Huntsville is about 50 miles from there.)
Mary's huge monument at Mt Hope in Peru disappeared between the 1970s and 1990s. Hope this helps fill in some gaps.
