Please make sure that your emails say "Find a Grave" in the subject line. Please be patient as we have suffered two deaths in the family six days apart, and I am traveling to spend time with my mother and son as we struggle to find the new normal for our family.

My family line includes: Massey, Yount, Bost, Matthews, Davidson, Gay, Barger, Bowling, Bolling, Boling, Rolfe, Altman, among others.

Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Served as a Quartermaster, U.S. Navy on board the U.S.S. Petrel during its capture in Yazoo River, Mississippi on April 22, 1864. During the assault on his ship a shot came through the stern, raking the gun deck and exploding the boilers but he stood his ground. When all the others had deserted the flag, he assisted in getting the wounded off the guard and proceeded to get ready to fire the ship. Despite the escaping steam from the boilers he continued with his duties until surrounded on all sides by the Confederates and forced to surrender. His citation was awarded on June 22, 1865 accredited to the State of New York. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)

PFC James Ford Alley
Hello Teresa, James Ford Alley was married to my cousin's mom at one time and they have lost track of him. We thought maybe you could fill us in on his past.
Did he married again after he was married to Josephine Margrette Davis and did he have other children than a daughter Yvonne Kathryn Alley?
Any information about him would be helpful.
My email is expowilliams@gmail.com.
My name is LaVerna Ledbetter Williams.
Thank you,
LaVerna

RE: Thomas Davidson
Teresa, I am so very sorry for your loss. Only people that have been through it can understand.

I am working on George Washington Davidson's (1884-1941) line #46164243. He is a younger brother of Thomas Jefferson Davidson. I have sent edits to link him to Jason Walker & Mary Gay Davidson as parents, but as yet it has not been done.

GW's son David Albert (1912-1982) #92852479 was my uncle.

I invite you to go my tree Beck_C~1 to look & take my sources. I may have some you don't have.

Orza
