I spoke with Bessie's daughter this evening and we will be going to the cemetery in the next few weeks. When I mentioned there was a request for a photo of this grave, she was interested in how you are related to her family. If you don't mind sharing the relationship, if any, I would be appreciative.

Not trying to nag, just FYI that we've cleared over 200 requests this spring and now have 626 requests—fewer than there were in June, 2012. We'd be happy to clear your request(s) but some/all do not have plot information. Please call (216) 641-7575 and obtain plot information. A funny thing happened on the way to do your request. Yes, both Frank and George are listed in Mt Vernon plot 22. Yes, I found the plot and it even has a stone. Yes, it says HIMSL on it. But the only name listed is Clara. And she isn't listed in the online directory for the cemetery. Very iteresting. Don't know if these are family but will create a memorial page for Clara and post the photo to it. | | | m hendriksen

Hi, I did some looking today and I did find two groups of Cann's but I am not sure what to do. I think I found two Mary Cann's but not with the dates b and d don't match. I will send another email tonight if you want the specifics on each one. One even shares a stone with another person not a family relative. Let me know how to proceed.

You've put in request(s) at Calvary in Cleveland. Several of us are actively working to clear the more than 715 requests. We've actually cleared close to 100 in the past week. With 400,000 burials if you could please obtain plot information AND a plot map one of us will be more likely to be able to fill the request, as the office will only give out a little information to each person. The office phone number is (216) 641-7575. On my page I have the plot maps listed that we already have which is quite a few. If the burial is in one of those sections we don't need another map, just the plot info on the request.
You can try to tell them you'll be visiting when they're closed, etc. So far everyone who's called has been successful in having a map mailed, a few e-mailed. If you get one let me know and I'll give you my e-mail address. With thousands of graves per section a plot map would be VERY helpful. Without plot information it's basically impossible.
