I have stopped making transfers for right now. I have been backtracking my postings to make corrections or add information. I would rather make all the updates before I pass the posting. |
For those requesting transfers, please read the Find A Grave rules on requesting them. These can be found on the FAG home page under frequently asked questions. We should only request Direct Relatives (ie: parents, siblings, grandparents and great-grandparents up to 4 generations) be transferred. When requesting a transfer, please use the edit button and state the relationship that person is to you. When posting a name, please make sure that person has not been posted already.

|J-Giblin||Edward W Duffy|
I have a photo of an Edward W Duffy's stone. The stone only lists the date of death (1937) though so I'm not 100% sure if this is your Edward. If you would like the photo, let me know.

|Debbie Marucci||Abram H Arick|
My name is Debbie, and I started with Find A Grave about 3 years ago. At that time I started with my greatgrandmother Zella Arick Jacobs and her family. I didn't realize that the Abram H Arick was my Abram Hershey Arick at the time. My cousin brought it to my attention as he was pulling some of my info from the Find A Grave memorials for his tree. I've sent you the connections I had for family. If you'd like to transfer anything else from my memorial over to yours feel free to, then I'll delete mine.
Abram is my second great grandfather. His father, David, apparently paid someone to take his place when called up for the Civil War. My uncle tells me that he always went with his mother (Lovetta Jacobs) to the cemetery, and neither she nor her mother before her (Zella) would ever leave flowers for David, as he was a "coward and a disgrace" for sending someone in his place!

Me again. Figured it out both memorials are for St Mary's
but one is Texas and yours in KY.
Left messages to both Joan to move the burial site to KY since his headstone is there!
Would love to know who the other John Piatt that died in same county Feb 11, 1915 was? That is how I stumbled on to this dup memorial looking for a child maybe ??

You did the updates I sent to you for John W Piatt before I realized the memorial you have had transferred to you is a dup. This is a copy of what I left for Todd when I was requesting the headstone pic to be moved to the one you see below which is the correct one, I have also contacted Joan with his parents links to be moved to it instead of the memorial you have. Sorry, wish I had seen the original before. As you can see below hope you can help to straighten this out.
Copy of the message:
Actually in a second look Todd you entered the memorial for John and then transferred it to a Margaret! Well in any case it is a dup. and I hope you can put the headstone pic on the original one.
Here is where it is needed
John W Piatt
Birth: Feb. 2, 1872
Death: Feb. 5, 1915
Son of C. D. Piatt & Katie Nolan
San Antonio Light

Burials of Poison Victims Take Place an Hour Apart
The funeral of John W. Piatt and that of his wife, Mrs. Irene Piatt, who were found dead in their apartment on Baltimore avenue Friday morning, took place one hour apart Saturday afternoon. After services at St. Mary's Church at 2 o'clock, the body of John Piatt was interred in St. Mary's cemetery. The funeral of Mrs. Piatt was held from the home of her mother, Mrs. Mary Gillespie, 127 California street, at 3 o'clock and interment took place in St. Mary's cemetery.
Piatt was a native of Covington, Ky., and was 44 years old. He married Miss Irene Gillespie seven years ago, one year after coming to San Antonio.
