I live in Clearfield Co.,Pennsylvania and I love to go to cemeteries and visit. I started coping and taking pictures of the cemeteries around my area and started posting them here to help others with their genealogy as well as my own.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I collect obituaries (over 50k and still counting) I'm adding them on here (a Little at a time), to help with genealogy. (I keep every obit that I add on here for future records)
RE: John Lippart - Question
Penny: Want to add a little to John
Also his wife Sophia Jane Hess-Lippart born Jan 1849 - died July 1884 - Note John and Sophia appear to have died in Lawrence Township and an educated wild guess might be Old Saint Francis Church Cemetery.
Two other Hess's I'm looking for:
Jacob Hess - b 1835 d unknown after 1880
Isaac Hess b Apr 1811 d Aug 1901 - many of his children are in Friends Cemetery.
Could give You a list a country mile long. This should do it for now.
Regards - Tom
John Lippart - Question
Penny: Here is another question that You might find an awnser to. John Lippart b 1846 - d July 10, 1900 and was a Civil War Veteran. The county records indicate he was interred in Clearfield (no cemetery name) and his Pennsylvania Veterans Burial Card indicates the "Catholic Cemetery" in Clearfield. The card was dated 1900 - see if they can tell You which Cemetery would have been refered to as the Catholic Cemetery at that time.
Thanks - Tom
Hess Family
Penny: Stay away from that cemetery if there are "Ticks" there - just not worth it. All the people that were on the list that was e-mailed to You have been posted in that cemetery. Could You ask them, while You are there, if they have anyother lists or records which would show who else may be interred in that cemetery.
Will get back to You on the Askey's in the next few weeks, all of this group ended up in Jefferson County, which is not as easy to track people as it is in Clearfield County, Thanks to people like You. Your incredible body of work will live on for "Eon's" !!!!!!!
Thank You and Regards - Tom
Nora Dobson Gearhart
Hi,
I'm wondering, if the cemetery isn't to far from you, if you would please get the tombstone photo for Nora Dobson Gearhart, 1881-1908 in Centre United Methodist Church Cem. Its possible that if she had a stone that it's so old you won't be able to find her. I really wish I could find her obit to see if she was the daughter of George Dobson and Mary (Wonderling), Wonderling being my line of research.
Any help sure would be appreciated. Maybe the church has records.
Thanks so much in advance!
Dunlap
I was wondering if you would have an obit for Ruth E. Heitsenrether Dunlap. She died in Clearfield, October 12, 1995. She was the wife of Norman L. Dunlap. I haven't been able to find one and I was hoping that you would have it in your collecion. Thank you for your help.
