Robert Chapman
I transferred Robert Chapman to his Grandson. My husband and I have been photographing this cemetery for a few years now and I try to post all obits in this cemetery. If I have posted your relatives and you would like ownership let me know.

Pop was in Scott's Funeral Home in Jeffersonville, and buried at Walnut Ridge in Jeffersonville.

Looks like Walnut Ridge beat me to the punch on creating the memorial, but I'm attempting to connect his page to Luther's, hopefully it will be approved very soon.

Glad you got to see Pop in 2004, though under unfortunate circumstances. Sorry to hear about your dad as well. They're up there looking down on us right now. Pop was a dedicated railroader and a great family man, I'm just so glad he got 85 great years and I got to spend 23 of them with him.

Thanks again,

-Bryan

Luther and Robert Chapman
Saw your note on Luther Chapman's page. Luther was my great grandfather. His son, my hero and my grandpa, Robert Chapman, just passed away this past Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at age 85. Birdseye is a great town. Thank you for the note.

RE: Clora Borden
She was a teacher. Her maiden name was Clora Brown. Her sister Edna(Brown)Reason also taught and my grandmother, Clora's sister-in-law Effie (Newton) Brown, wife of Ollie, also taught, so my Brown line educated quite a few around Eckerty/Birdseye... My cousin Steve Brown, who lives in Birdseye, was another grand nephew of Clora. Clora's husband George Borden was killed by a train while driving a bus at the Eckerty crossing. His family was also from the Birdseye area.

I don't do a lot with Find-A-Grave, but I probably should... so if you want to transfer the memorial to me, that would be fine. There is a very small and remote Brown cemetery north of Taswell, and I uploaded several pictures for it some time ago. It would be nice to find time to do more.

Best wishes... Email anytime to rkbrown@ilstu.edu

Clora Borden
Clora Borden is my grand aunt, and she is buried in Eckerty Cemetery. I have a photo I could post later if I can find time.
Sincerely, Ryan Brown
