I have been fascinated with old cemeteries since childhood, but never more so than since I purchased property adjacent to one. My family and I now live just 80 feet away from a 185+ year-old cemetery. Since becoming a Find-A-Grave member, back in 2003, I have submitted most of it's burials to the Find A Grave database, as well as many other cemeteries and burials in central Ohio. Unlike some - Who carelessly enter names and dates into the database without any hard proof that the grave actually exists - Any of my entries may be depended upon as fact, and will be backed up by photographic proof, whenever possible.I have a mild interest in genealogy, but I must admit, I get a great deal of satisfaction out of having published works on the internet. Often, I've picked out cemeteries and graves, purely at random, and submitted their names, dates, and photographs. If one of my memorials is that of a family member or friend of yours, I will be more than happy to transfer management, or even remove it, if you so desire. You have but to contact me, and let me know.|

I sent the photo to your e-mail.

Hello, David. I was scrolling through the memorial walk and came across your memorial for James Crawford Holland. I assume he's your relative, as you posted his photos, and couldn't help but notice his younger photo was quite damaged and what a shame, as he was a very nice looking man. I don't want to offend you, but was wondering if you would mind if I tried to correct the damage. If so, I could e-mail the photo back to you and you could decide for yourself if you care to post it. I don't want any credit if you do use it. I just very much liked the picture. If not, that's fine too. I, myself, only have one photo of my father that had become terribly damaged and though I can't fix the original, I did correct a scan of it and it turned out very nice. Anyway, message me one way or the other. As I said I won't be offended if you say no, I just wanted to make the offer. Regards, rootbound.

Thank you so much, for responding. I noticed that you and Olin Hartley, we're communicating. I assumed you were in the same are as my ancestors. I have put in a formal photo request. Thank you again!

Would it be possible for you to add a picture for David B Hartley's grave. He's buried in fFriends Cemetery, Quaker city, Guernsey county, Ohio. Find a grave memorial # 35164705.
I would appreciate anything you can add.

I have never been to Union Cemetery until I went this week to find my aunt/uncle. I started snapping pictures of markers while I was there just to see if I could add any for anyone.
Again, Thanks !

Thanks for their crypt placard photo.
Did you see any indication that W.C. was a veteran? (He was; and his burial had full military honors. I'm a bit surprised that there is no indication of that.)

Thanks so much for fulfilling my 7 photo requests for my Hartley's in the Quakerdom Cemetery. I really appreciate you time and effort in getting all of these for me. Also would like to thank you for all the notations you added to the photos. I do the same thing here in Texas for the ones I photograph. I feel it really adds to the photos.
