It probably has something to do with the person that gives the information of the deceased. They didn't have birth certificates back then in most places. I found death cert.on another of my family members that I knew for a fact was incorrect so you are right.....it does happen. I'm convinced Thomas is the son of Theobald based on the time frame and the burial place. I appreciate your input. Have a great weekend.
