|I am currently researching the Blank, Schaffner, Miller, Haag families. All were German immigrants who came to the US in the mid-1800's settling in NYC. The familes all moved to Brooklyn (mostly Bushwick) in the 1880's.|

Thank you, John - I do have that info on the Freys. Appreciate your help....have a wonderful New Year!

Thanks so much, John - I only happened onto her because I was trying to find the correct spelling of Mike's younger sister, Wihelmina's, maiden name. She married into the Frey family, which I was researching.
Boy, there are some sad family situations when we start digging into relationships, huh?
I have to back track now, and figure out how the Freys fit into my lines..... (sometimes I don't know how I ended up where I am, from where I started out!) Thanks...
Merry Christmas ~ Happy Holidays...

Hi John: I just sent an edit to you with a marriage date of 21 November 1886 for Louisa to Michael Stritsky - but have now found another New York Marriage Record of 7 October 1874.
You have in her bio that they married about 1874 and divorced after 4 children. Did they get remarried in 1886, or are the New York State Marriage Record wrong? Both records describe them and even name their birth dates and both of their sets of parents....strange.
Think we're related! Patrick and Ellen mcvey are my fourth great grandparents.

|Michael Cassara||Rough, redux|
I have added much better pictures of the Rough (and neighboring) stones from Calvary - the sun was out today, so the names are much more readable. Best, M
|Michael Cassara||Margaret Rough|
I'll try and take a photo of the Margaret Rough grave on a sunnier day, so it's easier to read. As far as I can tell, it says:
In Memory Of
Died Oct 27 1904
Died July 15, 1907
Also - I didn't see your note about the neighboring Haidinger grave until just now - I will snap a photo the next time we have a nice, sunny day.
