I am currently researching the Blank, Schaffner, Miller, Haag families. All were German immigrants who came to the US in the mid-1800's settling in NYC. The familes all moved to Brooklyn (mostly Bushwick) in the 1880's.

Rough, redux
John,

I have added much better pictures of the Rough (and neighboring) stones from Calvary - the sun was out today, so the names are much more readable. Best, M

Margaret Rough
Hi John,

I'll try and take a photo of the Margaret Rough grave on a sunnier day, so it's easier to read. As far as I can tell, it says:

In Memory Of
Patrick McCarthy
Died Oct 27 1904

Anna McCarthy
Died July 15, 1907

Margaret Rough
1925-2004

Also - I didn't see your note about the neighboring Haidinger grave until just now - I will snap a photo the next time we have a nice, sunny day.

Best, M
