I'm sorry, I get it now, you want to connect their memorials. Sorry, it took me awhile to understand. I have people contact me wanting to prove parentage for DAR or SAR or other organizations and that is what I was thinking.

I'm always researching & trying to find where ancestors are buried and I will definitely be on the look out for Samuel and Hannah Covington.
Sorry I wasn't able to help you.
Good luck to you!

Hannah Dockery & Samuel Covington
You said Samuel's parents were John Covington & Hannah Dockery, I'm sure you meant Hannah's parents.

I'm not sure where they are buried. IF they stayed in N.C. it is possible they were buried at
"Dockery's Meeting House" the land which was given by and named after her grandfather, Thomas Dockery, who is also buried there. It is now, Cartledge Creek Baptist Church.

In researching the couple, I don't find any source that shows where or when they died.

If you are trying to prove that John Dockery Covington (who married Susan McEachern) is the son of Samuel Covington & Hannah (Covington) Covington, I might be able to help. There is proof somewhere that shows the connection because the DAR has accepted him as their son and they are sticklers on proof. I'll be glad to help if you would like.

Hi Michael
I do not make it to Clarkton as often as I used to, so I will not be of much help with photo request. I did notice your edits, and if you would like any transfers let me know and I will be glad to transfer.

Still Looking
RE: Mathew Sikes
I will be happy to do this for you, Michael. We sometimes forget that not everyone knows how to read and write. This often accounts for spelling mistakes in names, even now in some areas.
Thank you for adding the link that might help someone else make a new connection.

RE: Mary Ellen Sykes Hollingsworth
I linked the family relationships that you requested. Ellen Elizabeth Jackson was my ggg-grandmother.
