Yes...if you would like, transfer his page to me and I will collaborate with his nieces to make his page more fitting to his sacrifice. I hope they even have a nice picture of him to include.

Thank you so much,

RE: Herbert E Reichle
Hi svanwyk,

Herbert Earnest Reichle, was my 1st cousin 2x removed. If you google the date he died 15 Aug 1944, the first hit is Operation Dragoon, it was "...the Allied invasion of southern France on 15 August 1944, during World War II." He died on the first day of the operation.

I imagine his plane was shot down in France. A newspaper clipping from a Texas newspaper, The Courier Gazette, Friday 8 Sep. 1944, states that: Herbert's brother Sammy Reichle and his sister Louise Reichle-Grube received a telegram from the War Department advising them that they're brother, Sgt. Herbert Reichle, bombardier in the Air Corps has been killed in action in France.

Other than his family tree information, that is all I know of him. I try to remember to leave flowers at every site I visit.

Thanks for the heads up on the other listing for Rogers Marshall Davidson. I will just move it to the correct cemetery and send it in to be merged to save the photos and links to his parents.

Thanks

RE: Photo request at Restland
Just read your email on it. I thank you so much for taking the time to look for a headstone for this infant. I have a special place in my heart for infants and children that have passed. I do remember her name: Odinakachi Mary Aganigbo, born & died on 2/20/2013. Maybe she will get one in the future.

Thank you again for looking,
Blessings,
