Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am researching my own family ancestry names of Richardson, Montes, Aldaz, Lucero, Delany, McNeely, and Maes and have written a family genealogy book (link is on this page). I am happy to photograph stones for you in my area and also willing to transfer management to family members. You are welcome to use my photos for your research. I ask only that if you post them to any other websites please ask permission. I have found some of my photos posted incorrectly in the past.

I'll check from time to time to see when a marker is in place and photograph it once it is in place.

I requested some help from a friend at Sparkman Hillcrest and found out that John Richardson is buried in Meadow of Reflection, Lot 1, Space E. However, when I went to that location there was no marker for him. I have reported back to my friend who will see if a permanent marker was ordered but somehow the request was misplaced. If that is not the case, he will trying finding family he can contact to let them know that there is no marker.

RE: Location
Hi Thank you for your response. I think in your profile you said you would find graves in your area, but I could not tell where you are located. I'm looking for graves near Poughkeepsie NY, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont.

thank you! Sue Kiznelman

SH will not provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed to in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request.

You can also go through the SH website at this address:

Click the third tab that says "Other Requests." Fill in the blanks. Where it says: " What is your request in regard to?" use the drop down menu and select "other." In the message put the name and birth and death dates of the person you are looking for and that they are buried at Sparkman Hillcrest in Dallas, Texas. Once SH has replied, add the information to your photo request.

Thank you for your help.

RE: Filbert & Mindy Montes
You are very welcome. The office staff at Gate of Heaven are a delight to work with, and always happy to dig a little for information instead of just saying "Not here". Good luck finding Filberto, and when you do Pat Barela, who made that memorial, is good about edits, though it might take a little time as she is pretty busy.

RE: Charlie Blaha
You are very welcome, the security guard there was watching me and made me go to the office so I did and they thought I was looking for family and they only searched for 2 graves for me. They do not want you there unless you have family buried there. I do. The guy from the office actually drove me to the spot also. I got my photos then I got out of there but I have 2 more to look for and will make sure they know I am family! LOL! They are a bit stuffy there, I am so glad I could find yours, I liked his story.
