I am a retired school principal. I was in the business for fifty years, which gives away my age, I suppose. My only involvement with the Find-A-Grave movement is in locating and documenting my family and that of my wife. That's why I have only done about a hundred entries. I do, however, leave floral offerings for Sheldons who served in a military capacity because I didn't. I also leave flowers for relatives and friends whose memorials I did not create. If I can provide assistance to someone, I would be happy to see what I can do.|

You are welcome and no I am not related to Mae. I request obituaries for my family members from the San Francisco Public Library. I like to update or add memorials for the deceased whose names also appear in that day's paper.

No, I have not heard f it. When I found art by Lizzie Shoemaker as a young girl in my gma Jody's attic and a bunch of old letters and things like that, I started looking into some of it. As soon as my great aunt Mary (Jody's sister) found out I had gotten them, she came and took them from me as well as some things that meant a lot to me that my grandmother gave me. So I decided I wanted nothing to do with it, it hurt to much. But then recently someone was challenging me a bit, saying he couldn't find Lizzie in anything, that she hadn't been a part of the womens movement as it was someone else. So because I do know what I'm talking about, I started looking for proof. I found it here. But now I want to continue to look up our family. Its important to my children... So, I havn't had a chance to find much of anything and realy could use some guidence with it. This was a long version of all this, sorry.... But any help I can get would be great. I want to give my children a sence of where we come from and who we are as a family... They enjoy it :) and thank you!!

Hi. I am a Sheldon as well. Or so to speak. As I am a direct line, I simply do not carry the name. My dad is David Sheldon Lewis, who was from my grandmother Jody Williams (Dennet), who was from Mildred Sheldon (Williams), who was from Carl Sheldon, Who was from Lizzie Shoemaker (Sheldon) and Joseph Sheldon.
I am aware that you are from the same lines, so just wonderd through who. Its nice finding someone. And thank you..

Records found at the Solano County court house in the recorder's office.
A letter to the recorder's office with the required fee will produce a certificate bearing whatever information is available.
But I will delete mine.
