I started working on my family history after the TV mini-series Roots aired in the late 1970's. It was slow going back then...writing lots of letters and then waiting for weeks for replies. So much easier when computers came along!!!|
A big thanks to all the wonderful members of Findagrave.com for all the help and support they give. I live in Oregon, but most of my family came from the eastern two-thirds of the U.S., so it's hard for me to to travel to cemeteries there. I have received grave photos from volunteers all over the U.S. and that has meant the world to me.
I started taking volunteer photos for other members in 2012. It pains me to drive by a cemetery knowing that there are photo requests for graves there. Please feel free to use my photos in any way you like (no need to ask permission)...that's why I take them!!! Also, I would be happy to transfer memorials for anyone that is not a relative of mine.
Some of my families are: Fadness, Jensen, Okins, Shortt, Griffith, Parke, Sims, Pond.
Good luck to everyone in their search. Juelette

|Laura Duncan Burgund||Hattie Pendleton 1839-1920|
Hattie's maiden name was Farrow, not Farrios. She is the daughter of James Farrow and Judith Grindle of Islesboro, Maine. The History of Islesborough Maine lists her date of birth as November 25, 1838. I'd love to know where you got her information for your find-a-grave memorial.
Would you please consider transferring #97161472 to me? Kalle is in my family tree.

|Zorn||Verna "Mena" Hall|
#139164490, Lincoln Mem, Portland. She is my grandmother Wilhelmina Zorn's niece, my mother's cousin. Buried with her father William Zorn. I would be happy to manage, if you are willing to transfer. Thanks.
I am looking for William and Wilhelmina's mother, Louisa Kendel Zorn, 1860 Austria, 1937 Portland,OR. If you happen to stumble upon her up there somewhere. She should be buried in Portland, had no luck in my searches. She was very close to William and helped raise his daughter Verna.

Many people on Find A Grave aren't aware of this new edit feature. I found it by accident myself and just thought I'd let you know. Thanks for updating the memorials. Juelette, I'm sorry for your loss.

Thank you so much for the Charles & Minnie transfers. Another link in the chain of gathering my family back together.
And Yes, Nathan did a great job on the photos. Really appreciate you both. Find A Grave folk are the best. Bud Pickett
