I don't have any info in my research about a William Kelley with those birth/death dates. I did a search on Ancestry (not knowing if you had also) and found this info:
Name: William Kelley
Birth: 1805 - Anderson County (Anderson), USA
Death: 1844
Parents: Daniel Calloway Kelley, Nancy Hopkins
Spouse: Rebecca Ann Barnes
That said, this may be a completely different Wm. Kelley.
Also, so many of "my" Kelley's spelled their last name Kelly either some or all of the time, while others kept the "extra E". It sure can be confusing.

Jennifer, You didn't give me any name for the "certain" Kelley you are searching for, so I'm not sure if I can help. The Kelley's in our family are from the Piedmont, SC area of Anderson County and the Burton's came to South Carolina from the area of Hawkins County, Tennessee. | | |
