Remember - there is a story under every tombstone. I am working to see that these people are not forgotten.|
When my dear friend Rabbi Moshe Kushner ZT"L, heard of our work to memorialize the departed, he said "Todah. Really a big Yasher Koach." Little did we know that we would soon be memorializing him as well.
NOTE: If you want a memorial page transferred to you, just ask. I almost always transfer when asked.
ALSO: I give my blanket permission for any of the photographs I have taken and posted on Find A Grave to be used for any non-commercial purpose. Enjoy the photos - that's why I took them!

Thank you so much for this update and the work you have done to restore Archbishop Carfora's grave site. May God reward you.

Thank you for adding Archbishop Carfora's grave stone. I had the impression that his grave was vandalized and could not be found. I am curious about how you discovered it. This should e added to his bio on Wikipedia. Good work! If you have any other info about him, I would appreciate knowing more, particularly where he was born in Campania. I could not find any info from Ellis Island about his arrival in NYC. I found that odd. Maybe you can do better.

I love overcast days! I spent a rainy morning taking photos recently - beautiful images but I was cold and soaked to the bone long before noon.
Yep, I agree something is better than nothing. I have taken photos so bad I cringe and just hope someone will replace them. Shadows and reflections definitely make the process challenging. I've had to toss a few like you mentioned, the mirror effect completely ruined the shots. Ugh. :o)
I visit Chicago cemeteries every time I'm in town; was kind of all over Rosehill in July. I took 900 photos there. Lots to upload as the weather gets colder.
Love what you've done on Find A Grave and have really enjoyed your blog.

The sun was more cooperative when I took pictures than it was for you. Please compare our photos of Anna, Henry and Katherina and let me know what you think.
I couldnt find Herman either. Free sons (new) is apparently pretty small but still confusing. Couldnt figure out what section N would be to even get a photo of the ground.
Did take several hundred other photos though, randomly stumbled on a requested one too. Ill tlak to you more about the 18th soon

Thank you so much for taking the time to photograph the monument of Lewis Nofsinger Memorial# 129489497. It certainly augmented my records for Cassy J. Huff Noffsinger Noffsinger Houtz.

|Family||William J. Clifton's gravesite|
Jim, thank you sooooo much for the photo! T/Sgt. Clifton's memorial stone was the only one missing from the crew of the "Queen of Angels". I think it's really important that these men not be forgotten!! Thanks again for your help!
